Barry Overeem’s whitepaper, "The 8 Stances of a Scrum Master", catalyzed my desire to pursue the Scrum Master role. After reading (and re-reading) it, I decided to leave behind the management position I had held for 9 years to follow my calling to lead through service to teams, Product Owners, the organization, and the broader Agile community. I can honestly say that I've never felt so fulfilled in my career.
